Practice Policy

This practice policy explains how Warragul Medical Centre manages personal health information, feedback, complaints and respectful behaviour expectations.

Managing personal health information

Your medical record is treated as a confidential document. Warragul Medical Centre maintains the security of personal health information at all times and follows RACGP principles for managing health information.

Patient information may be collected, used and disclosed for care coordination, reminders, Medicare and health insurance processes, accreditation, legally required notifications and approved de-identified research activities.

Feedback and complaints

The clinic encourages feedback and suggestions to help improve service quality. Patients can provide feedback by letter, email, speaking with their GP or nurse, talking with the Practice Manager or Office Manager, or speaking with reception staff.

Complaints can be raised in writing, by phone or by email, and the clinic asks patients to allow up to 30 days for the complaint process to be completed.
